Hackmatack Hollow is a small stable located off the Boston Road in Winterport. We offer Western Therapeutic Riding Lessons in an outdoor ring. Lessons are $40 per hour for private lessons, or $30 per person for groups of two or more. Lessons are about an hour long and include grooming and tacking up of the horse by the students.
When students are ready we can take them on trail rides on our nearly 100 acres of woodland.
All riders must wear long pants, good footwear (preferably leather shoes or boots; absolutely no sandals), and ASTM approved riding helmets (provided).
All lessons are by appointment only.
We are closed Sundays.
We also offer a horse finders service. If you're planning to buy a horse, we can help you find the right one to fit your needs.
Although we love nature and do our best not to harm it in any way, our priority is on the Creator who made all things for us to enjoy. We want to give God the honor and glory in all that we do.
